Building Your Online Reputation: The Pros and Cons of Influencer Marketing

Building Your Online Reputation: The Pros and Cons of Influencer Marketing

In today’s day and age, your online reputation is everything. It’s important to always do your best to build it up to promote yourself. On the other hand, there are also some downfalls of doing so through influencer marketing. There are many pros and cons when it comes to influencer marketing, so let’s explore them both!

The Pros of Influencer Marketing

Familiarity – It’s easy to build a strong connection with the consumer if they’re familiar with you, whether that be through your content or personal brand. This is especially true if you’ve been building up an audience for years. Your fans will follow you to any platform, which can also give a boost to your followers on a new platform, too.

Targeted Audience – The audience you receive through influencer marketing is highly targeted and relevant. You’re not receiving a mass number of followers that may or may not be interested in what you have to offer. Influencers usually create content for a specific niche market as their audience, which can be tailored to your specific business and what you’re trying to achieve.

Relevancy – You will receive a targeted audience that is highly relevant and timely to promote the content you create, whether it be videos, blog posts, or social media updates. Your followers are receiving information from someone they view as an authority in their industry so they’re more likely to engage with your content.

Feedback – Social media influencers are constantly receiving valuable feedback from their audience that can be used as a tool to improve your business. This form of promotion is much more organic, as well as sincere as fans aren’t being paid or given anything to promote you. They offer this service because they’re truly interested in seeing you succeed, which can give your business a stronger foundation.

The Cons of Influencer Marketing

Affiliate Sales – Affiliate sales are not anything new when it comes to influencer marketing. They have the following that they built without any help from brands or companies, so depending on how big their audience is, the higher your promotion will be. Some influencers receive a commission for every product they sell, which can quickly eat away at profits if you’re giving them a percentage of each sale made through them.

Agency – As with everything in business, there is always someone who will take a cut as the middleman. In this case, it’s usually an agency or marketing firm. This is the most common way to collaborate with influencers. They have established relationships with social media influencers so they can help promote your content for a fee, usually in the percentage of profits made through affiliate sales.

Competition – You may be competing directly with other brands that are using influencer marketing to promote their products similar to the ones you’re trying to sell. This means they have similar target audiences which can lead to an overlap of potential customers.

Vendor-Based – You are now at the mercy of your influencer’s schedule as well as their decisions on what they want to promote. They control how they convey your brand, which may or may not be in line with your company’s image or goals. You have to be able to trust that they will do a good job and represent you to the best of their ability which can take time to get used to.

The decision between influencer marketing and using paid advertising is not an easy one as it all depends on what you’re trying to achieve, your audience, and your budget. Overall, building your online reputation is extremely important for any business to attract new customers and keep the ones you already have!

Fast and Easy – Influencer marketing can be done quickly and easily through the use of social media influencers that already exist on these platforms. When companies work with influencers to promote their content, they are reaching out to targeted audiences who already have an interest in what they offer.

When you want to work with someone who has the following traits:

– You want quick results

– Your audience is composed of real people that are interested in what you have to offer

– You are looking for feedback and insights on how to improve your business

– You want an organic way to promote your brand

– You can’t or don’t want to spend money promoting yourself

Then influencer marketing is for you! It’s a unique and effective way of building relationships with new customers as well as making sure the ones you already have keep coming back.

Great for building your online reputation – One of the biggest pros of influencer marketing is that it’s an effective way to build your online reputation. Having an influencer promote your product can make it seem more credible as they are already trusted by their followers. If you choose the right influencer, they can help boost sales of your product or services through affiliate sales, organic traffic, and referrals.

Good for gaining great feedback – Feedback is extremely important when operating a business. It will help you gain insights into what you need to do to improve your products or services. You can also get feedback from your audience, influencers, and vendors so that everyone involved knows exactly what needs to be done next.

Suitable for any budget – Influencer marketing is suitable for businesses of all sizes which is one of the biggest pros when it comes to this type of marketing. You can pick influencers who fit your budget and don’t require much in return other than a shout-out on social media. This is perfect for smaller companies that are just starting and looking for organic ways to get new customers.

Social proof also known as one’s reputation or track record is proof that someone or something (a business, a person, an idea) has value. Social proof is the phenomenon where people assume the actions of others in an attempt to reflect correct behavior for a given situation…

Trustworthy – Influencer marketing builds trust between your company and potential customers…

This is called a ‘personalized search’ and it’s one of the biggest changes in search ranking factors from the time before 2020 to what we have now, and will have in 2020. Sites that provide real value to their audience will be rewarded over those who try to trick search engines or users with low-quality content.

10 Simple Ways to Improve Your Online Marketing Strategy

10 Simple Ways to Improve Your Online Marketing Strategy

The internet has changed the way we live and do business. Online marketing is now a necessary strategy if you want to succeed in today’s digital age.

With so many different ways to market your business, it can be difficult to decide which strategies will work best for your company and which ones should be avoided. Here are 10 simple ways you can improve your online marketing strategy without spending too much time or money on them.

1) Social Media

Create an account with Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, or any other social media platform that suits you best. Once you’ve built up a following of people who like what you have to say, share links from your blog posts with them and ask for feedback on new ideas. Spark conversations with other people in your industry online to find out what marketing techniques are working for them so you can adapt some of their ideas to suit your own business.

Facebook and Twitter are both great platforms for your social media marketing strategy. They’re free to use and they both offer analytics tools that give you information on who’s viewing your ads and how many people like or retweet them.

Think of creative ways to get your business out there on social media. For example, if you own a restaurant, have one of your employees take pictures of the food and share them with people on Instagram or Pinterest for an extra marketing boost.

And remember, it’s okay to promote yourself on social media. Don’t be shy about advertising the new services or products your company offers through your social media accounts. People want to know when you have something interesting to say!

2) SEO

Make sure that all of your website content has a keyword in it that people are likely to search for when looking for a business like yours. For example, if you run a B&B and the keyword is “Bed and Breakfast,” make sure that phrase and any variation of it (BedandBreakfast; Bed breakfast; BnB) appear on your website content at least once or twice.

Keep your website up to date with fresh, relevant content that people will want to read. If you’re an accountant, write blog posts about the latest tax laws or other topics in your industry to give your website some staying power online. Not only that, but it also gives you something interesting to talk about at networking events!

You should also include links on your website’s About Us page and blog posts that link back to your other social media and website pages, like the contact page and sales page. This way, it’s easier for people to find all of your information without having to search around on multiple platforms.

3) Mobile

Did you know that more people use their phones to access the internet than desktops? Your online marketing strategy needs to have a responsive website that looks good on both laptop and mobile browsers. Google even has requirements in place that dictate how search results are displayed when you’re using your phone or tablet – if your website doesn’t meet their requirements, it’s not going to show up when someone searches for your business.

If you don’t have time to create a new website to accommodate mobile devices, you can always install Google Analytics on your current website so that you can see how much traffic is coming from mobile browsers in comparison to regular desktop browsers. If it turns out more people are using their phone or tablet to access your website, you may need to optimize or redesign some things.

4) Email

Use email marketing to keep in touch with customers and create an ongoing dialogue about your business. You can send emails to people who have subscribed to your blog posts, used coupons you’ve given them at a store or for services you offer online, and even ask for referrals from other companies that they like! If someone keeps coming back to your website or business, it’s a good sign they trust you and like what you do.

People who subscribe to your email marketing list should get something out of signing up-a a free eBook, access to exclusive blog posts written by you, etc. It’s also important that the emails they receive are relevant to what they’re interested in when they sign up, which you can do by asking for their interests and location when they subscribe.

5) Driving Traffic

It’s easier than ever to get your website in front of the right people online, but you may need to experiment with different traffic drivers (like search engine optimization and pay-per-click advertising) before you find one that works for your business. Which ones work best depends on what your target audience is looking for and how much money you want to spend.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed with where to start, try implementing at least one social media channel into your online marketing strategy. You must dedicate some time every day to maintaining your social media accounts-respond to any messages or mentions people make of you, share photos that are relevant to your business, etc. If someone likes what they see on your social media profile, they’ll be more likely to follow you and come back to see what you’re sharing next.

6) Video

Video is a great way to showcase your company culture and show off the people who work there-the most important part of any business! If possible, try shooting an interview or even a simple YouTube video about your business and what you do. It should include a few talking points about all of the following:

  1. Company history
  2. Where you began and how you got to where you are now
  3. Current products or services offered
  4. Any special promotions going on at the moment

One idea for a YouTube video is to “unbox” a new product and talk about its features and why people might need it. It’s also important that you include contact information in the video so people can look for more information or get in touch with you directly to learn more about your business.

7) Local

It’s easier than ever to market your business locally with free options like Google My Business, which helps you claim your business on Google Maps and also allows you to see how many times people have viewed your profile. All you need to do is take a few photos of your business that are representative of what it looks like when customers come in, upload the images, write about what kind of services are offered, and upload contact information so people can get in touch.

8) Pay-Per-Click Advertising

If you have some money to spend on growing your business, invest it in paid advertising so you can show up as a top suggestion when people look for things related to what your business offers. If someone is searching for “Best Restaurant in San Diego,” they may see a Google ad that’s got your name on it.

The money you spend here is an investment in growing your business, so you must monitor PPC ads closely to ensure they’re not just bringing traffic to your website, but turning those visitors into paying customers.

9) Content Marketing

If your company produces great content related to what you offer (like blog posts or eBooks), people interested in learning more will likely follow your company online and subscribe to your email list. From there, you can send them information about new products or updates on promotions that might interest them.

10) Conversion Tracking

You wouldn’t buy a television without knowing what channels it receives, so why would you advertise without tracking how successful your ads are? Use a Google Analytics URL to track which ads or marketing strategies are converting the most website visitors into leads and sales.

It’s easy to track conversions using Google Analytics: Simply create a link with special code that tells Google exactly what you want it to do. You can set up different links for different ad campaigns, then come back later and find out how each one is performing.

After you’ve spent some time polishing your online marketing strategy, sit back and enjoy the positive results! You’ll see more people interacting with your company on social media, more leads coming from PPC ads and email lists, and increased sales all around.

The internet is a big place, and it can be hard to know where to start when you’re marketing your business online. Fortunately, many different strategies don’t require a huge budget or lots of time-they’re just as effective and can be tweaked for your company’s size and goals.

Blog Post Rules:

-Use a large text editor that you can easily toggle back and forth between your blogger dashboard and writing tab.

-Remember the old saying, “show don’t tell?” Blog posts should always show not tell. Don’t just give vague generalities about a topic, give specific examples and prove your points.

-Start with a good title that explains what the blog post is going to be about before you begin. This will minimize confusion and also make it easier for people to find your posts again through search engines like Google!

-Give call-to-action statements throughout your blog. Call people to take the next step and keep them coming back for more!

-Keep your posts concise; nobody wants to read a novel every time they come to your blog, especially if you post daily as most bloggers do! Stick with around 1500 words or less unless you are posting pictures along with it.

– Once you have written all your content, proofread it and then proofread it again! Nobody likes typos or grammatical errors in their blog post.

– Take advantage of tools like Grammarly to help you through this process without having to hire an expensive editor.

Here are some more questions you might have about how to write a blog post!

What if I don’t feel like writing today?

Think about how often you check your email and social media, you can take a few minutes out of your day to write a blog post too. If you are having trouble coming up with ideas for blog posts, here are some categories you could write about:

-Quick and easy recipes: Everyone loves a good meal and most people love to cook! Write about your specialties and post pictures of the final results.

-Product reviews: Reviewing products is a great way to help other people learn about new things that will suit them and get you extra traffic!

-A blog post idea generator: an article with a list of different kinds of blogging ideas can be very helpful to bloggers who are struggling to come up with their ideas.

Do I have to write every day?

Writing every day might seem difficult at first, but you will get used to it. If you can’t manage to write every day, try to post at least three times a week and stick with it! It is better to post consistently than sporadically.

How long should my blog posts be?

Your blog posts should be around 1500-2000 words unless you are posting pictures of it as well. If you are including pictures, then your post can be as long as you want it to be!

Any topic that interests you and/or your target audience is a good idea for a blog post. For example: If you love makeup write a review of different brands or products if you enjoy cooking share recipes that people will enjoy, and if you like to travel write about tips and tricks that can help people explore the world.

What platforms should I use?

You can post your blog posts on any platform you want! But remember to use a program like Grammarly or Google Docs so that there are few typos or errors in your blog posts.

How often should I post?

As often as you want! Some bloggers only post once a week and some publish three times a day. 15 Best Seo Tips for Locksmiths

15 Best Seo Tips for Locksmiths

Locksmiths are often faced with the challenge of marketing their services to potential customers.

This can be difficult, especially if you don’t have a strong customer base.

Fortunately, there are many different ways that locksmiths can use SEO techniques to improve their ranking on Google search results pages. With these tips, you’ll find it easier than ever before to promote your business and increase your customer base! Let’s get started 🙂

Tip #1: On-Page SEO

Your website is the foundation of your professional online presence.

That means on-page SEO is essential for success – if you want to rank highly in Google, make sure your site follows all the rules! To get started, make sure that:

  • Your site has a robust and optimized URL. If your URL looks spammy, no one’s going to click on it!
  • Your site is mobile-friendly and has a responsive design. With Google rolling out their new mobile ranking algorithm, this isn’t as optional as you might think!
  • You include SEO-friendly meta tags such as page titles and descriptions.
  • You have a good amount of unique, high-quality content on your site.

Tip #2: Great Content!

Believe it or not, great content is one of the most important elements to SEO success. The more you post and share around social media, the more likely Google will start to recognize and favor your posts in search results. So, try to:

Create a blog and update it frequently with relevant content that your customers will find valuable. You can even use this content for future articles on your site!

Network with other businesses involved in similar interests.

This lets you collaborate on projects and share each other’s online content – which is great for social proof!

Participate in online communities and forums. This lets you connect with new people, share your thoughts on the industry, and gain some credibility as an expert in your field!

And remember – creating content isn’t just limited to blog posts. Video marketing is taking over the internet, so don’t ignore it! A short video can get you more views and attention than a hundred text articles!

Tip #3: Off-Page SEO

You know what they say; “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know!”

The same applies to Google, the more people talk about and link back to your website, the higher your site will rank. So how can we improve our off-page SEO? Try:

Creating and distributing press releases. This is still an effective strategy for building links and gaining brand exposure.

Guest blogging on another website. If you write an article for another blog in your industry, there’s a good chance they’ll add a link to it! Don’t be afraid to ask them – generally speaking, most people are happy to return the favour.

Start a link building campaign. This is where you actively seek out websites that have linked back to your competitors and contact them about linking back to your website instead!

Tip #4: Get Social

Finally, social media is an essential part of Google’s ranking algorithm – so you must get involved with sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest! By using hashtags on these platforms, you’ll be able to connect with new people and expand your online presence. And since content curation is important for SEO success (see tip #2), this also allows you to share other peoples’ posts around social media!

Tip #5: Technical SEO

For the more technical readers out there, it’s important to remember that all of these tips can be used in conjunction with one another. For example, a strong on-page SEO strategy will lead to increased rankings and better off-page results too! And as always, Google is constantly changing their algorithm – which means that you need to keep up with the times or your website might end up dropping in rank. To avoid this, try using tools such as MozCast to stay updated on any changes!

Tip #6: Market Your Business

And finally, the most important tip; marketing your business! Make sure that you’re actively seeking out customers and trying to attract new customers. By completing tasks such as advertising on social media and running promo codes, you can increase brand awareness and drive traffic to your website. If you need more help with marketing your business online, I suggest checking out this article by Hubspot.

Tip #7: Anchor Text

Last but not least, pay close attention to your anchor text. If you want to rank high in Google, make sure that your hyperlinks include keywords like “locksmith” and “emergency locksmith”. This makes it easier for search engines to spot relevant content – which is exactly what we’re trying to do! And remember – the less text you use on a hyperlink, the better. For example, I just used this article as an example-notice how there’s barely any text in this hyperlink? That means it would be really easy for Googlebot to identify when they see it!

Anchor text can still be included in links that aren’t text-only, but you need to ensure that the link is relevant and appropriate. For example, This hyperlink will bring you directly to this article’s URL on Google – notice how there’s no actual text in the link?

Tip #8: Featured Snippets

When writing content, try to put yourself in the shoes of your end-users. What are they looking for? Are they looking for a list of tips? Or do they need information on how to find you?

Whatever their exact question is, it’s worthwhile answering it directly on Google. These ‘featured snippets’ or ‘knowledge cards’ are seen by hundreds of thousands – if not millions – of people every single day! That’s why I highly recommend including these keywords in your meta description and HTML title tags. It’ll ensure that your website stands out from the crowd while also inviting more traffic to your site!

Tip#9: Remove Duplicate Content

I know what you’re thinking; “how could I possibly remove duplicate content from my website? My site’s all about locksmithing!” While it might seem like a good idea to copy and paste your blog posts onto your homepage, Google doesn’t take this very kindly. Instead, try to use unique content on every page of your website. You can do this by switching up the final sentence or including a couple of extra sentences at the end of each blog post – but whatever you do, don’t be lazy! Make sure that there’s no duplicate content whatsoever-and if there is, make sure to address it as soon as possible.

Remember: keep it relevant and always include helpful information! The last thing you want is for Google to penalize you for plagiarism…

Tip #10: Link Relevance

Similar to anchor text, link relevance is very important if you’re looking to rank high in Google. When linking to articles or websites on your own website, be sure that the links are relevant and helpful for your end users! If the article has nothing at all to do with what you have on your site, it might be time for a change.

Tip #11: Check Your Robots.txt File

Don’t forget about your robots.txt file! This is what tells Google whether or not they can crawl certain parts of your website, so if you’re not careful it could result in a huge loss for you!

A couple of easy steps to remember: don’t block any pages on your website and make sure that none of these blocked URLs are linking out to other websites. Doing either of these things will help Google identify which pages are most important to your site – and won’t hurt your rankings at all!

Tip #12: Fix Broken Links

Broken links aren’t just unhelpful-they straight-up annoying. After all, who wants to click on a hyperlink only for it to lead to an error message? It’s even more frustrating considering how easy it is to fix this problem. If a page no longer exists, create a redirect so that your users aren’t led astray!

Tip #13: Watch Your Spelling and Grammar

Nobody likes a copy/paste job – especially Google. Make sure you have accurate spelling and grammar on all of your pages! Search engines take this very seriously so don’t let anything slip through the cracks!

Tip#14: Use HTML Tags

If you aren’t sure whether or not your website is properly coded, check out the source code! This will help you keep track of all of your HTML tags to ensure that they are relevant, helpful, and up-to-date with current web standards.

It’s super easy to see if something needs to be updated – trust me, I’ve been writing my own websites for years! Just open up the source code of any page on your site, then scroll until you reach the <head> tag. If it looks like a mess, don’t worry too much about it. But if it’s organized and easy to read through? Then you’re golden.

Tip #15: Keep an Eye Out for Errors

Last but not least, make sure you keep a close eye on Google Analytics. This will help you identify any errors that might pop up from time to time! Just go into the ‘Behavior’ section and click on ‘Site Content’. Then, click on ‘All Pages’.
