7 Hacks to Get More Traffic from Google My Business in 2021

You Want to Make Sure Your Business Is Getting the Most out Of Google My Business, but It Can Be Hard to Know Where to Start.

There are so many different ways you can optimize your presence on GMB-from optimizing your business information and photos, to strengthening your SEO with certain best practices in mind.

We’ve put together a list of 7 hacks that will help you get more traffic from Google My Business in 2021. These tips will help you maximize the potential of this free tool for local businesses!

#1 – GMB Loves it When You Post Images and Videos!

This hack applies to both your business information page and claims page, but you’re going to want to focus on your business information page for this hack.

To get more traffic from Google My Business in 2021, you’re going to want to make sure that you have as many images as possible as well as videos available.

Google My Business will give you a couple of different options-either post a video about your business on YouTube and then embed the video onto the website OR post a few pictures of what’s going on at your business.

Images are a big part of Google My Business because they make for a better user experience and it’s all about that user experience when you’re using Google My Business to get more traffic in 2021.

Make sure you post at least 10 new pictures every week and make sure your Google My Business page is as visually appealing as possible.

You might even consider hiring a professional photographer and videographer to do the work for you.

Don’t just upload random pictures and videos that don’t have anything to do with your business-you’ll want to take time and care when it comes to this part of your GMB profile.

You can take pictures while you work, of things you like, or anything else that could be relevant to your business.

When it comes to videos, make sure that you’re posting any news about your company and even some testimonials from clients-videos are the best way to do this!

Remember: Post at least 10 new pictures every week along with a video.

And Don’t forget to take pictures of the team at the office, the people who run your business, and anything else that could be interesting to potential customers.

Of course, you should post your Identity images only! Don’t post images of your competitors, delete them immediately.

#2 – Have 5 Stars Reviews Strategy to Boost Your GMB Listing

One of the easiest ways to get more traffic from Google My Business in 2021 is by having as many 5 star reviews as possible.

These 5 Star Reviews will boost your Local SEO rankings and will bring you more business!

Be sure to thank any past customers who write a review for you because this means they’re dedicated to your company and your product.

It might even be a good idea to give previous customers an incentive to leave reviews for you, such as a discount or another perk that you could offer them.

If this is too difficult for you, just hire a service like Fivver, where people will leave 5-star reviews on your GMB page for five dollars.

Make sure you’re ready to answer any comments or questions that previous customers might have.

Respond to reviews as soon as possible because people expect to hear back within 24 hours.

If you need more reasons to convince you why having 5-star reviews will help your business in 2021, check out this blog!

You should encourage your team to always ask for review and feedback at the end of every transaction.

In case of encountering a bad review or criticism, try to approach the situation with professionalism-appreciate their patience, and apologize for the negative experience.

If possible, offer an incentive or some sort of compensation (and do not ask for reviews).

When you have more 5 star reviews on your Google My Business page, this will help your listings rank better in search engines like Bing and Google, which will increase your traffic in 2021.

Don’t be afraid to reach out to a professional for help!

#3 – Make Sure You Are Adding at Least 5 New Posts a Week on Your Local GMB Business Page

Adding new posts to your Google My Business page will help develop more connections with customers and engage them in the conversation!

You should be posting about any new services, products, news, or events that may interest your customers.

As users continue to share posts from your business on their timelines, the bigger audience you’ll have for your business.

You can even use the same strategy on your other social media pages! For example, if you post about an event that’s coming up on Facebook, take a screenshot of it and post it to your GMB page too!

At the beginning of every week, try brainstorming some new ideas for posts-you should think about your audience and what they would be interested in reading.

You should make sure to include strategically your targeted keywords in every post, use splashy images, and be sure to post regularly!

Keywords are the lifeblood of your online presence in 2021, so you should focus on them!

This strategy will help with local SEO rankings and gain more traffic from Google My Business in 2021.

Post new Offers posts regularly and What’s new to make the most out of your GMB profile.

I also found this great hack that you should always link back to your older posts and website pages so that you can increase your backlinks which is also important for local SEO rankings.

Google allows up to about 1000 words per post, but the most frequently read posts are those with about 100 to 200 words.

Be sure to always proofread and check for errors too!

Your posts should be customer-oriented, informative, and appealing.

These will naturally attract a lot of attention from Google My Business visitors in 2021!

Just make sure not to overdo it by copying and pasting the same post over and over again.

#4 – Optimize and Publish the Free Website You Get with Your GMB Listing

It’s a good idea to have a website that is also optimized for Google My Business listings.

This can help with your social media SEO ranking as well, as more people will be able to find you on different platforms.

You’ll want to make sure you’re using the same keywords and phrases from your GMB profile on your website too.

The best way to make this happen is by optimizing your GMB business page for SEO keywords now-this will help with local rankings in 2021.

It’s important to have detailed information on the services and products you offer, as well as clear contact information that can be easily found.

This will give users a better idea of your business and help increase the likelihood of them visiting you.

You can also use this opportunity to answer any questions visitors may have about your company-this helps build trust with potential customers.

The more information users know about your business, the better!

Try to find a keyword-rich domain name for your website and make sure you’re utilizing it to its fullest capabilities!

Check out the different CTA button options that Google has for you-you can use things like “get directions,” “contact us,” and more.

These can help your visitors get in contact with you by email, phone, or map!

It’s also a good idea to add some sort of blog section on there where you post new updates and information about your company.

The Summary body section, allows you to put in a large amount of text, but Google will automatically cut it down to about 160 characters.

You can also add images, links to other pages, videos, and more! Use it to create backlinks to your website with rich anchor texts.

You can even use it to put in a call-to-action and link to your social media pages and website!

Keeping these hacks in mind will help you make Google My Business work for you!

It’s now easier than ever to use GMB as part of your SEO plan.

As long as you’re consistent with posting new relevant content, you should be able to create a steady stream of visitors from your GMB listing in 2021.

You want things like reviews and check-ins to reflect well on your company’s profile too!

As long as you’re using this guide, you’ll see how much easier it is for customers to find your business and connect with you.

This will also help with SEO rankings as well so Google can display all that information in 2020!

Google My Business has changed quite a bit over the years it used to be called Google Places.

It was one of the first ways that Google was able to take information and maps and put them together into one profile.

Google My Business provides a lot of other functionalities as well, such as Google Maps, Instagram integration, and even the ability to view other users who have saved your page for future reference.

It’s really up to you how you want to use it!

For local searches, GMB is probably the number one way that people are finding businesses.

You can also use this guide to learn how to make sure all your content is optimized for Google My Business in the future.

With these tips, you’ll be able to make sure your company’s GMB profile is as useful as possible and attracts users from all over!

#5 – Getting More Traffic from Google My Business by Utilizing Search Queries

You can find new ways to get more traffic from Google My Business in 2021-just by looking at search queries!

A great way to do this is by using the keywords and phrases that your customers type into Google before they click on your website.

Make sure that you’re using these same keywords and phrases to optimize your Google My Business listing, as well as other pages on your site.

For example, if someone types in the phrase “Montgomery landscapers,” you might want to have a section of your GMB page where you list all the services you offer-like “Montgomery landscaping,” “Montgomery lawn care,” etc.

You should also try to use keywords and phrases that are perfectly relevant, but aren’t too popular just yet-this way you can be the one who ranks for those search queries!

Use Google Trends to monitor search traffic for certain keywords or phrases, and make sure you’re optimizing your business profile for the right things.

A great way to promote your company is by using photos of real customers who have had positive experiences with your products or services!

Make sure that you keep these images up to date with current events, new items, or anything else that can keep your company’s profile fresh!

One way to do this is by using geotags in 2020 so people can see how far-reaching your business is.

This will also help boost your SEO rankings in 2021 and get more traffic from Google My Business in the future.

Of course, you should make sure that your company logo is on these images as well!

This will help with your branding and keep your business at the forefront of people’s minds.

Remember-while it’s important to be consistent, it’s also important to try different types of content now and then.

You can do this by posting new images regularly or by hosting some sort of weekly contest.

This will help you attract more attention and get more traffic from Google My Business in 2021!

#6 – Getting More Traffic from Google My Business by Adding FAQ’s

One of the most important things you can do to get more traffic from Google My Business in 2021 is by adding a FAQ.

FAQs will help increase your online presence and customer engagement!

This is because, when people are searching for solutions to their problems or trying to make decisions, they’re going to turn towards their search engines.

When they type in things like “how do I clean up my yard?” or “why is my dog sick,” it’s important to make sure that your company’s FAQs are ready with all the right answers.

If they search for something like, “how do I get rid of weeds in my lawn?” make sure you have an answer on your FAQ page that is informational, detailed, and easy to understand.

Include details like the exact products you use for certain tasks, what time of year it’s best to take care of these issues, etc.

Your answers should also be thorough enough so people can tell if they’re going to have to do a lot of work or if it’s going to be a quick solution!

You should also make sure that you’re keeping your FAQ page up-to-date with the newest information including how best to use new products or services.

This will help you get more traffic from Google My Business in 2021 and give people an easy way to find solutions for their problems!

#7 – Getting More Traffic from Google My Business by Optimizing Your Page

When someone goes to your GMB page, one of the first things they’re going to see is your NAP (Name, Address, and Phone Number).

This is why it’s so important to make sure that this info is correct and easy for people to read.

For example, you should take advantage of Google My Business tools like Google Posts to get your NAP information up-to-date across all platforms automatically!

You can also use these tools to provide details about your hours of operation and location.

This will help search engines pick up the right data, which could leave you with more traffic and higher rankings in 2021.

If you’re not sure what business details to provide, Google My Business has great tutorials that will help you get started!

After you’ve optimized your location on search engines like Google My Business, it’s important to add social media links so people can easily find your company online.

Adding these links will help you get more traffic from Google My Business in 2021 and set your business up for online success.

If you’re a locksmith, then you’ll find this guide helpful because it has some excellent tips for optimizing your website with keywords that will help potential customers find you!

Where to Use Locksmith Keywords?

Your keyword choice shouldn’t be random; it needs to be deliberate. You’ll want to try using them in the title of your website, in your meta description, and even on a page with your content like titles, headings, and images.

Place keywords in the content of your locksmith website because this is where users will scan. For instance, in your heading, you’ll want to use the words “locksmith service” so that when people search for locksmith service in their area they see your business. You’ll also want to be specific about what kind of locksmith services you offer like high-security deadbolts, emergency lockout help, and keyless entry systems.

In your copy, you’ll want to use “locksmith near me” because being specific with the terms people search for will help you rank higher on Google’s results page. You should also mention what kind of locksmith service is offered in your area. Are you a 24-hour emergency locksmith? Do you specialize in car keys? Just be careful not to overdo it. If you’re putting the same phrase in every other sentence, then people will think that your content is spammy and Google won’t rank you high for those terms.

Add Geo-targeting to Your Locksmith Keywords

Many of the tools in our Locksmith SEO package will include geo-targeting so that you rank higher on local results for customers near you. This is important because if someone needs a locksmith right now, they aren’t going to search geographically far from their location. Instead, they’ll get more accurate results by searching with their city and state in the search bar.

When you use geo-targeted keywords, then customers are more likely to find your business on Google Maps and rank you high for key phrases like “locksmith near me” or “24-hour locksmith service” depending on what they need. You want them to see your website’s name right away so that they contact you instead of giving their business to your competition.

Create Strategic Headlines, Titles, and Descriptions

There are three main places where you’ll want to optimize your website with the keywords people search for when looking for locksmith service. The first place is in your headline, which usually appears on top of the webpage and in search engine results. For example, if you’ve chosen the phrase “locksmith near me” to target with your keywords, then your headline might read something like “24-Hour Locksmith Service Near Me – Trust Your Local Locksmith!”

This will help you rank higher for that phrase in search engines because Google wants to show its users the most relevant results. If your business is the only one with that specific headline, then you’ll be more likely to rank high on Google search.

If people see results like the above when they search for locksmiths near me, then they’re more likely to click on your website than any other results that don’t have the right phrase in their headline or description. That’s why it’s important to optimize those three places with keywords, so you rank high for the phrases people search for when looking for a company like yours.

Lastly, you should use those same keywords throughout your page content. The more you use specific phrases like “locksmith near me” and “emergency locksmith service,” the higher your page will rank on Google search results pages (SERP). You want to be both informative and persuasive with your content so that users click on one of those three links to visit your website or contact you for a quote.

The majority of your customers will find you through Google, which means it’s up to you to make Google happy they found the right results for their searches. Make sure your website is optimized with keywords related to what people are looking for when searching for local locksmith companies. This way you’ll rank high for those searches and drive more customers through your doors.

You Should Also Use Your Locksmith Keywords in Your PPC Ads

In addition to optimizing your website with the right keywords, you should also use those same keywords in your pay-per-click ads. This includes Google AdWords and Facebook Ads since both of these places have a lot of users searching for customers exactly like yours.

Here’s how it works: when someone searches for “locksmiths near me,” you want to show up for that search because it means they’re ready to call or click on your business.

You can optimize your ad just like your website by using the same keywords, which helps Google understand what people are searching for when looking for a locksmith company. This is also true of Facebook Ads since both advertisers and users rely heavily on keywords to achieve their goals.

For example, if you have a locksmith ad for “locksmith near me,” the user could click on your ad and be taken to a page where they see the phrase “locksmith near me” over and over again. They might continue reading further down since there’s also other relevant information like contact information and other relevant services, but you’ll have a better chance of closing the deal if they see those words over and over again.

It’s important to note that you should avoid using your PPC keywords too much on your website because it can annoy users and hurt your rankings on Google search results pages (SERP). There’s no quantum limit on the number of times you can use a keyword in your website, but try not to “keyword stuff” too much or it’ll hurt your rankings.

You Should Also Use Your Locksmith Keywords in Your GMB optimization

Google My Business is an extremely important part of your local SEO. If you don’t have a GMB, then it’s time to sign up for one and start optimizing it right away because it can help you rank high in Google Maps.

When people are looking for locksmiths on their phone (and let’s face it, most people use their phone for local searches), they’re searching for locksmiths nearby. As a result, having a GMB and optimizing it with your Locksmith keywords is extremely important to getting those clicks from users looking for locksmith companies in their area.

Whenever you talk about what separates those who rank high from those who don’t, you’ll find that the number one reason they rank higher is because of a detailed and optimized GMB. Your business needs to show up on Google Maps, not only as of the first result but also with reviews from your past customers. This helps Google understand how you compare to your competitors by using location-specific keywords like “locksmith near me.”

Google My Business is a Google product so it’s important to keep in mind how Google works when you’re optimizing your GMB. This means you want to focus on adding lots of relevant information about your business, enough so that it all makes sense to a user searching for a locksmith.

Make sure that location-specific info is the first thing users see when they land on your GMB page. If you own a locksmith business in Virginia (VA), make sure to use VA-specific keywords like Locksmith Near Me, Auto Key Replacement Alexandria, Safe Installation McLean, and so on.

You can do this by having a complete address with the city and state included in the GMB title. Google will understand that this business is in Virginia and should rank higher for searches like Locksmith Alexandria and Safe Replacement McLean.

The more often I speak with locksmiths and other small business owners, the more I keep seeing many of them neglecting their web presence entirely. There’s such a huge opportunity for small businesses to rank well in Google by using keywords, and they’re currently missing out on a lot of traffic.

It’s not uncommon for locksmiths to have multiple locations with each location having its website, but this is a mistake because there’s no reason why all of your locations can’t be optimized the same way. Instead of wasting your time and money on multiple websites that do the same thing, you should consider putting all of your eggs into one Google-friendly basket.

You can also save yourself a lot of time by choosing to use an SEO company that looks after many different small businesses because they know exactly what needs to be done across multiple industries. Your business may include locksmithing, but it probably also has a lot of other services that could be optimized as well.

The key to ranking high on search engines like google and yahoo is content marketing. To rank well in Google, you’ll need to write blog posts that are optimized with the right keywords which will help drive traffic for your business online. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from speaking with locksmiths across America – it’s how easy it is for small businesses to neglect their web presence entirely by not optimizing their website or PPC ads with relevant keywords. The opportunity cost of missing out on potential customers can be significant so make sure you’re taking advantage of all opportunities available!

More than 1 billion people use Google each month and they rely on reviews to make buying decisions-so if you want more customers coming through your doors, you must get as many positive GMB reviews as possible! Here are some insider secrets about GMB reviews that will help skyrocket them for your business today.

The most important part of your marketing strategy is not your website, social media accounts, or even brochures. It’s the Google My Business Reviews you receive

The Google My Business Reviews you receive is a big part of your marketing strategy. You can’t afford to not have a good Google My Business Reviews strategy because it’s the first thing people see when they’re looking for a business. It’s also the first thing that someone sees on your listing, so if you want to be successful, it pays to have a strategy.

To get positive Google My Business Reviews, you need to focus on providing great customer service and stickiness for your customers. If you do those two things correctly, then the GMB reviews will follow.

Think of it as a pyramid. At the base, you have great service and stickiness, which creates reviews for your Google My Business page. Then at the top of the pyramid is sales-you need to focus on getting sales to be successful.

So always focus on providing great service and stickiness to get Google My Business Reviews.

More than 1 billion people use Google each month and they rely on reviews to make buying decisions-so if you want more customers coming through your doors, you must get as many positive GMB reviews as possible!

A lot of people are on Google each month. That means that if you can get more positive Google My Business Reviews, then you will have access to a larger audience and that’s always a good thing!

The fact is that when people see an impressive quantity and quality score on the search engine results page (SERP), they’re going to click on your listing because they trust it.

That’s why it’s so important to get more Google My Business Reviews-it brings in customers and the cycle continues!

Tip #1 – Add a link to a review from another customer to show off what other businesses have said about yours

To add a link to a review from another customer, all you need to do is go to your Google My Business dashboard and click on “Customize this page”. This will open up an editing window with the tab in the right-hand column labeled “Reviews”. Next, click on the tab titled “All Reviews” to see all of your reviews in one place. Then click on the pencil icon to edit your review. You’ll see that there’s an option for adding links to other reviews from businesses that have commented on yours.

To get positive Google My Business Reviews, you need to focus on providing great customer service and stickiness for your customers

The most important thing you can do is have great customer service. It’s hard to get Google My Business Reviews if you’re not providing the best possible experience for your customers.

The reason is that people will naturally write reviews about their experiences with your business, so if they have a good time, then they’ll most likely leave a positive review-but it can be even better than that.

If you make an effort to go above and beyond for your customers, they’ll most likely leave even better reviews (and that’s what you want). So just try to do whatever you can think of that might be beneficial for your customers and then see what happens!

Tip #2 – Make sure all of the information in your profile is up to date and correct on your Google My Business page

It’s important to make sure all of the information in your profile is up to date and correct. One way that you can do this is by clicking on the “Customize this page” tab to see a list of recent reviews. From there, you’ll be able to edit your review and the information about your business.

To get more Google My Business Reviews, you mustn’t procrastinate. In fact, you should take care of this right now!

If your GMB listing has a lot of incorrect or out-of-date information, then people simply won’t understand what your business does. Not only that, but if your contact information is incorrect or out-of-date then you won’t be able to get Google My Business Reviews.

As a result, you must check the accuracy of your profile right now before looking for more reviews!

Tip #3 – Make sure all of the services and product offerings are up to date

Another thing you should do is make sure all of the services and product offerings are up to date. If they’re not, then you’ll end up with Google My Business Reviews that don’t match what your business actually provides.

That’s why it’s important to go through this process right now so you can find out if anything needs to be updated before moving on.

Tip #4 – Encourage your clients to leave reviews

If you’re struggling with getting Google My Business Reviews, then it might be because you aren’t encouraging your customers to leave them. The reason for this is simple-you won’t always get the opportunity to get more Google My Business Reviews if people never know about them.

The good news is that it’s not difficult to get more Google My Business Reviews. All you need to do is make sure your customers are aware of how they can leave reviews for you on your page, and then encourage them to do so whenever possible.

So make sure this happens regularly if you want an easy way to boost your position in Google searches.

Tip #5 – Check your GMB profile for negative reviews and address them ASAP

Another way to get Google My Business Reviews is to check your GMB profile for negative reviews and address them as soon as possible. A lot of people will write a Google My Business Review simply because they wanted to complain about something-so if you handle their issue promptly, then they’re more likely to leave a positive review.

As a result, you should always be on the lookout for negative reviews and try to take care of them as soon as possible so you can get the most out of everything!

Tip #6 – Ask your friends and family to write reviews

If you’re wondering how to get more Google My Business reviews, then you might want to think about asking your friends and family. The reason for this is simple-you know that they’ll be willing to help out because people who care about you will usually do anything for you.

This is why it’s so important to ask them whenever there’s a chance that they’re going to write a Google review. The more people who leave reviews for your business, the better off you’ll be in the future!

Tip #7 – Encourage satisfied customers to write reviews over time

Another common question is how often should I get google my business reviews. One good way to get more Google My Business reviews is to encourage them over time. What you can do is send out information periodically that encourages your customers to leave the review after they’ve had an opportunity to use your products or services for at least six months.

Whenever you’re sending out information about new products, special offers, and more, then be sure to include something that will help your customers remember to leave a Google My Business review as well.

this is not an easy solution

Tip #8 – Use the 80/20 rule when you reach out for reviews

Another important thing to consider when trying to get more Google My Business Reviews is how often you ask them. As a result, it’s a good idea to use the 80/20 rule when you do this.

The way this works is that you ask them to leave a Google My Business Review 20 percent of the time, but after they’ve bought your products or used your services, then you remind them about doing so 80 percent of the time. This will help you get more reviews without getting annoyed by constant requests.

Tip #9 – Ask for reviews on your website and business cards

There is a chance that you use a website and business cards to promote your products and services, but what many people don’t realize is that these can also be useful tools when trying to get Google My Business Reviews as well.

As a result, it’s not a bad idea to add a link to your Google My Business page every time you mention it on your website and business cards. Whenever people get the chance, they’ll be more likely to leave reviews for you, and that will help with your overall strategy in the end.

Tip #10 – Get reviews from satisfied customers in person

Another question is how do I get google my business reviews that are 5 stars without being sleazy? One good way to get these types of reviews is by getting them in person whenever possible. This means that you should encourage happy customers when they’re in front of you at the register or wherever else this might occur.

You can simply tell them about your ability to collect Google My Business Reviews when they ask how you plan to get more of them. Then, if they thank you or compliment your business in any way, make sure that you ask them to leave a Google My Business Review after they get home.

Tip #11 – Ask for reviews by SMS text message

If you don’t like asking people face-to-face (or if it’s not an option), then there is another possibility worth exploring. You can use the power of SMS text messaging to ask for reviews whenever possible. Just send out text messages to people who have used your products or services letting them know that you would appreciate it if they left a review on your Google My Business page.

This is one of the easiest ways to get more positive feedback about your business, and you won’t have to worry about annoying people in the process either.

Tip #12 – Ask for reviews during phone calls

If there’s a chance that you might receive a phone call from someone who has used your products or services before, then make sure they know what to do at the end of the conversation as well. This is done by asking them if they mind leaving an honest review on your Google My Business page by saying something like, “Do you mind if I ask how you feel about our experience? Do you think it would be alright if we asked you to leave us a review?” Take note of their response so that you can follow up later on.

This will ease into request nicely while also showing that you appreciate their business, which will help you get more positive reviews over time.

Tip #13 – Ask the right way to ask for reviews

What’s important is to make sure that you are asking your customers to leave positive Google My Business Reviews in the right manner. To accomplish this, you need to show them what a great tool it can be for helping other people find out about your products and services as well. If you aren’t doing this already, now would be a good time to start!

Tip #14 – Reply directly on all of your Google My Business Reviews using an email address or another text message service like Text Us Up (textusup.com)

This will put a lot of power into your hands. After all, you can easily reply to any Google My Business Review that comes in by simply doing it from the same phone number or email address. This gives you a better chance at going above and beyond for every single customer as well as getting positive reviews because people want to hear back from their favorite businesses. Additionally, Google will flag positive reviews that are responses to other Google My Business Reviews with a message that says “A business owner on Google responded to this review.”

This helps you get more mileage out of every single positive review in the end, which will help your rankings.

Tip #15 – Work on getting reviews from people outside of your local area

One thing most businesses don’t realize is they can also try to get 5-star reviews for their Google My Business Page from customers all over the world. For example, if you have products or services that have specifically targeted audiences, then you might want to consider asking them for feedback about how great it was to buy something from you online. This could be through email newsletters or personal messages. Plus, if they are satisfied enough with their purchases, then they might be inclined to leave a Google My Business Review as well.

This is even easier than getting local reviews and may help you get more customers in the future as well.

Tip #16 – Ask for specific feedback from customers on why they enjoyed their experience with your business so much

There is yet another way to use GMB Reviews to improve your overall marketing efforts too. You can ask customers for specific feedback about what made them such fans of your business or products/services in general. This can help create stronger customer relationships that could lead to even more positive reviews over time as well! To accomplish this, all you need to do is try asking things like: “What was the best part of our customer service?” or “What are some things that you love about our business?”

This provides you with more helpful information over time and could keep customers coming back again and again. Tip #17 – Publish a thank you article to your blog once a week thanking customers for their Google My Business Reviews

One of the main goals of Google My Business is to get people talking about your company online in a positive manner. This will help search engines know that your business deserves to rank higher than other companies too! So how can you make this happen? The answer is simple: by going above and beyond for every single customer. A great way to do this is by publishing a weekly blog post that thanks all of your customers who have left reviews for your business.

This not only shows that you are committed to getting more reviews, but it also helps to get even more people talking about your business online too.

Tip #18 – Get reviews from happy customers using a prepaid postcard

For example, if you sell the newest cell phones on the market, then you can use a “leave review” card template so that people who have bought your product will have an easy way to leave reviews for it on Google My Business. To accomplish this, consider printing up pre-made postcards with the name of your business printed on them along with a URL for where they should go to leave reviews for your company.

They can drop them off at local businesses or mail them in themselves! It’s a win-win for everyone involved and ensures that you’ll get more positive Google My Business Reviews in the future.

Tip #19 – Invite online influencers to sample your product or service

There are also other ways to get more Google My Business reviews from customers too. For instance, if you have a new product or an older one that is no longer being sold, then consider reaching out to online influencers who might be interested in giving your business a chance. You could even invite them over for free samples of your products, which would likely result in 5-star reviews coming back to your page on Google My Business!

This gets the word out about what you offer and helps build strong relationships with potential customers over time too!

Tip #20 – Push your customers to review your business on Google My Business

Now that you know how to get more reviews from satisfied customers, what do you think about doing this for new customers as well? That’s right: if someone is visiting your place of business then be sure to ask them if they’d like to leave a Google My Business Review. This could also work by having a tablet or smartphone that automatically asks new visitors in real-time whether or not they would like a review too!

If someone is leaving their name and email address when checking out with a cashier at the store, have them write down a quick sentence about why they chose your business. Then publish one of these testimonials on your website so potential customers can see the type of people who already buy from you.

Tip #21 – Encourage Google My Business reviews through your marketing materials

You can also consider asking for more Google My Business reviews on all marketing materials such as fliers and business cards, which will enable you to get even more exposure online too. Plus, these messages should be simple and brief since they’ll only be seen by potential customers, not existing ones. For instance: “Review us on Google!” or “What do you think about our service?” would accomplish this goal really well and could help generate even more positive reviews over time too!

Google My Business is not just about SEO, it’s also a chance to connect with customers! With more than 1 billion people using Google each month, getting your business listed on Google Maps is one of the best ways to increase visibility and put yourself ahead of the competition. It will also help you get more positive reviews from happy customers, which have been shown to improve local rankings by as much as 30% too! So how can you make this happen? The answer is simple: by going above and beyond for every single customer. A great way to do this is by publishing a weekly blog post that thanks all of your customers who have left reviews for your business. This not only shows that you are committed to getting more reviews, but it is also helping you build stronger relationships with existing customers too!

Tip #22 – Focus on the customer experience

It’s also important to make sure that 4 and 5-star reviews are easy for your business to earn. If your company is focused on providing an exceptional customer experience, then this should be achievable by most people.

Tip #23 – Take advantage of automatic reminders with Google My Business

Now, what about those occasions when you forget to ask someone if they’d like to review your business? For instance, if a customer comes into the store or calls up the service department over the phone, would it be easy for them to review you at that moment? It might not always be possible, but another option is for you or one of your team members to send out an email or text message asking someone whether they’d like to leave their Google My Business Review.

Tip #24 – Speak with customers for insights

However, there is another way you can encourage people to review your business on Google My Business, and it involves speaking directly with them! To do this you could ask customers if they have a Facebook Page or write down any platform where they’re active online. This will allow you to find them again at the right time when they’re most likely to respond too. Maybe these individuals are already leaving reviews for other businesses? You can then ask one simple question: “How was your experience?” If they enjoyed themselves enough that would be reason enough to justify leaving a positive review too.

Tip #25 – Encourage customers to leave Google My Business reviews on your website

Another way of encouraging your visitors to leave you a review on Google My Business is by including an “Endorse This Business” widget at the end of these posts. All they have to do is enter their email address, select which stars they would like to give you, and then click submit! Don’t forget that this should include a call-to-action such as “tell us why we’re awesome!” or “don’t just take our word for it, tell everyone else too!”

It should go without saying that the more positive reviews your business accumulates over time, the higher up you should rank search results. Since so much of your business now hinges upon the online world, this is more important than ever before.

Tip #26 – Have a specific thank you page for Google My Business

As I mentioned earlier, showing people that you’re actually asking for their help can have a big impact on whether they leave a review or not! By creating a separate thank you page on your website just for Google My Business reviews, will tell people exactly what to do and where. Not only does this demonstrate commitment towards getting more reviews, but it also makes it really clear to customers how they should leave one too! This boosts conversions and will improve rankings over time-and that’s something any business owner can get behind!

The most popular way of leaving a review these days is through a Google My Business review. I’m sure you already know the benefits of doing this, but now’s a good time to remind you of them.

Tip #27 – Focus on the 5-star reviews

As much as I’d love to say that 4 or 3-star reviews are just as valuable, that simply isn’t true. We all know that Google uses its famous Star Rating System to rank businesses for local search results, and it’s important because many consumers will not even bother looking at anything with less than 4 stars.

Tip #28 – Request Google Business Reviews from people on your email list

Here’s another sneaky tip that will allow you to tap into an entirely separate network of leads…your email subscribers! After all, if people are already receiving updates from your business regularly, why not take this opportunity to ask them directly for a Google My Business review? Whether they’ve already left one or not is irrelevant at this point since you’re asking them regardless. All it takes is one click.

Tip #29 – Display more than just your rating score on your website!

You have the option of showing more information about your business listing on your website by clicking the “View More Details” link under each category. For instance, I could choose to show what time my business opens and closes each day-and if I wanted to? Here’s the best part: If I don’t want this information on my website anymore, all I have to do is click “Remove.”

Tip #30 – Respond and engage with every single review you receive!

Even if it’s negative, make sure you respond to each customer review promptly. When customers visit your Google My Business page, they will see how many people have already commented before them-and negative reviews can be effectively handled by doing so rather than ignoring them entirely. If you’d like, here are some tips to help you better manage your GMB reviews. Lastly, remember that engagement is important because it’s one of the primary metrics search engines use when ranking pages for local searches.

Tip #31 – Email your reviews to others

Believe it or not, just because you ask for them doesn’t mean everyone will actually leave one. The more reviews you request over time though, the more reviews you’ll receive as a result! Tip: Try sending an email to anyone who has already left one and encourage them to spread the word by sharing your Google My Business review with their friends and family. You should also ask if they could leave an additional review somewhere else such as Yelp or Foursquare too since these sites carry a lot of weight as well.

Tip #32 – Comment on reviews that mention competitors’ business names

If someone writes a bad review about your business but leaves another website’s name in the review, make sure you thank them for mentioning your competitor and tell them to avoid doing business with them! For example: “I’m sorry to hear you had such a bad experience at (competitor’s name). We take customer service very seriously which is why we offer free returns. If we can ever be of assistance, please don’t hesitate to ask!”

Tip #33 – Try asking customers who left a glowing 5-star review on someone else’s website to leave another one on your Google My Business page.

Just like tip #28, this strategy also taps into an entirely different network of leads by leveraging the power of peer pressure. Not only that, but it will let others know about all the great things people are saying about your business as well…and there’s nothing wrong with a little healthy competition.

Tip #34 – Tag the owners of other related businesses on your Google+ reviews

Make it a point to tag the owners or marketing managers of any location that has already left a positive review for your business on any network-including Google+. This way, they will receive notifications letting them know their name was mentioned and why.

TIP: From search results, click ‘Write a review’ under the listing you want to comment on.

Tip #35 – Avoid trying to trick people into leaving fake reviews!

If you have ever been tempted to leave one yourself…don’t! Paid reviews are against Google My Business guidelines and can even get you into trouble with the FTC.

Tip #36 – Use hashtags to reach customers on Instagram

If your potential customers are more likely to leave reviews or connect with you on platforms other than Google+, find hashtags they are most likely to use so it’s easier for them to find you. This includes not only general ones like #happycustomer but industry-specific ones as well. For example: If I owned a residential cleaning business that specializes in move-out cleanings? I would search for something like “#moveoutcleanings” and then reach out either by leaving a review or reaching out directly.

Tip #37 – Add additional information about your business

If someone leaves a bad review about another one The key to making this work well is to always follow up with a positive comment to balance things out so it doesn’t look too suspicious. For example: “We appreciate your business. I’m sorry you had such a bad experience at (competitor’s name). We have been in business for over 25 years and take the quality control of our products very seriously. If we can ever be of assistance, please don’t hesitate to ask!”

Tip #38 – Contact customers who are about to leave a negative review

Sometimes customers just need that little extra push to talk through their concerns before they go ahead and do something rash like leave a bad review. Try calling them instead if possible since phone calls are much more personal than email texts-and this will give you a much better chance of turning things around and keeping their business.

Tip #39 – Make sure all of your GMB & other local listings are consistent

You want to make it as easy as possible for people to find, learn about and contact your business-so make sure any other listings (like Foursquare) match up with the ones on Google My Business.

Being consistent not only makes it easier for potential customers to get in touch with you but will also help ensure that all of your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed either! For example: If I had a flower shop and didn’t list my store hours on one platform? That could potentially be hurting me and would be something worth looking into immediately.

TIP: To achieve this, try using Schema markup on all your local listings so you don’t have to worry about manually editing each one.

Tip #40 – Reach out to new customers who are likely ready to spend

If you notice a positive review from someone you don’t know? Try reaching out and directly offering them something for free but make sure it’s relevant! For example: If the customer is reviewing my flower shop, I might send them some fresh flowers with a personal note. This would get their name in front of more people since they will probably share it online, which can be great for word-of-mouth marketing.

Give away something small enough that they won’t feel like you’re trying to entice them into spending money with you, but significant enough that they will be more inclined to come back and spend with your business later on.

Tip #41 – Be strategic about which information goes in each section

There are tons of different sections to choose from on Google My Business, but you should pick and choose which ones are the most important to your business and fill out only those.

This can be beneficial in several different ways. For one? The more information you have available about your company, the better chance you’ll have at ranking higher for local searches. But it also helps people learn what you’re all about quickly when they visit your listing-which is much better than them clicking away because they don’t get enough information in their initial search results!

For example, You probably want to prioritize filling out things like your hours, address & phone number before getting into things like how many locations you have or products/services you offer. This way, customers can find you just by searching for the most basic of things and have a good idea about what you’re all about ahead of time!

Tip #42 – Create a Google account to manage your listings

One easy way to make sure that everything’s consistent across all of your different local listings is to create a new Google account with your business name or domain name. Then, you can easily edit & delete listings from one place using this account instead of having to go through each profile.

Use Gmail, but connect it with G Suite. It will help you get into the habit of emailing from an official address over time–and that makes it feel more professional, too.

“In short, even if in-depth SEO is not your cup of tea, a GMB account can be managed just as easily as a Gmail. You should try it!”

TIP: Once you have set up your business with G Suite, utilize the free price level 1 tools for better management!

Tip #43 – Create or claim relevant & popular listings

You might want to consider creating or claiming additional local listings that are related to your business but not necessarily under the same roof (i.e., if you own an auto shop, list services like tire shops and dealerships too).

The reason is twofold: One-it could potentially help expose you to more potential business, and two-it could make you seem more relevant if people are searching for closely related terms.

For example: If I owned a flower shop I might also want to claim listings for florists in my area as well since it’s the same category of business–even though they’re not necessarily competing with me exactly. This is just another way to help bolster your rankings and increase exposure!

TIP: To find local listings you can create or claim, simply do a quick Google search for something like “add a listing” or “listing sites.” You should be able to find numerous directories that you can add yourself or your company!

Tip #44 – Link back to your website

When creating local listings, one thing you’ll want to be sure to do is to link back to your website from the business listing itself.

This helps Google know who you are and where else to rank your company for other important searches-all without having to create a ton of new pages on your website!

TIP: Even if you’re not creating or claiming additional listings, it’s still smart to link back anyways. That way, any local rankings you have will be shared with all of your other profiles as well!

Tip #45 – Leverage review sites

If there are review websites out there that are popular & relevant for what you offer (like Yelp or Google Plus Local), make sure that they don’t go neglected! These can serve as a great way to not only increase your visibility but provide a ton of valuable content that can be used elsewhere.

“In the same bucket as local listings, review sites are a great way for people to preview what you have to offer before ever stepping foot in your business. But it’s also serving as alternative forms of content generation or backlinks-all things Google loves!”

TIP: Getting reviews from people will help you rank better on search engines. It may seem like hard work at first, but once word gets out that you’re generating more positive reviews than negative ones, people will start coming to you!

Tip #46 – Prompt customer feedback via receipts

When customers pay with a debit card and leave feedback about their purchases online, it’s the perfect opportunity for you to solicit feedback from them.

Every time a customer leaves you positive feedback, make sure that they are pre-prompted with an email that asks if they’d like to leave more reviews or go directly to one of your profiles so they can do so!

“This is what Google classifies as “user-generated content,” or UGC. When people leave reviews, it helps increase your online visibility and gives Google more places to rank you beyond your website.”

TIP: This tip is especially useful for business owners who operate brick-and-mortar locations. If someone leaves positive feedback on your receipt, follow up with them on social media and offer them discounts in return for their Facebook or Yelp review!

Tip #47 – Utilize Schema markup

When it comes to search engine optimization, there are certain “tricks” that will help you rank higher than your competitors. One trick that many people don’t know about is called schema markup-and it’s super simple to implement!   Take for example this address:    123 Test Street         Atlanta, GA 30303

With schema markup, you can add structured data to your website so search engines have a better understanding of what your listing is all about. In this case, if we added schema markup for the address, it would look like this:    <div itemscope=”” itemtype=”http://schema.org/PostalAddress”>               <span itemprop=”streetAddress”>123 Test Street</span>               <span itemprop=”addressRegion”>Atlanta</span>,              <span itemprop=”addressCountry”>Georgia</span> 30303

“Markup helps make Google understand more about the content on your website and will help them understand how to rank you in different searches.”

TIP: For Schema markup to work, you must have a website. If you’re planning on creating a GMB listing for your business, take the time to verify it with Schema markup as well.

Tip #48 – Create user-friendly profiles

GMB profiles are an easy way for people to learn more about who you are and what you do. But there’s a lot of other places online where they can go to find information about local businesses!

With this in mind, make sure that the profile information on both your Google My Business page and your company website is written in a way that makes sense to users-even those who may be searching from their phones!

“People will always use Google first when looking for online, no matter what the reason. As a business owner, your goal should be to rank higher than your competitors so that people find you more easily.”

TIP: For optimal results on Google My Business listings, make sure that the following information is included in the profile: Name of business Hours of operation Contact info Description of business Specialties Any local awards or honors A link back to your website

When it comes down to it, you’re not going to get very far with GMB unless you have a website! In most cases, you won’t need to go out and hire a developer or web designer-especially if your GMB pages are mobile-friendly. But having an easily accessible contact page online will make it easier for people who aren’t familiar with Google to find you online.

TIP: Another great reason to have a website is so that you have more room for the copy! Google doesn’t allow business owners to bring in outside links or keywords on GMB profiles, so your profile may be the only place where people will read up-to-date info about your company.

If there’s one thing that makes Google my Business listings even better than the competition, it’s the fact that they are 100% free to create. You don’t need to pay anything or fill out any forms to get started with GMB.

Tip #50 – Create unique profiles for every location

Google My Business allows you to create multiple locations for users, which can help separate each of your locations into different categories. So for example, you could create separate profiles for your office in Atlanta, GA, and your retail location in New York City.

For the most part, the only limitations with Google My Business listings come from you! You can’t control where users can find your business but you can make sure that they have all of the information they need at their fingertips!

“Creating unique profiles allows people to easily find more info about each of your locations without having to search through all of them at once.”

TIP: Be sure to use keywords that are localized whenever possible. For example, if someone searches for “Atlanta bakery near me,” don’t just write down a generic description with keywords like “bakery” and “restaurant.” Instead, list the exact address of your Atlanta bakery with a short description that includes local keywords like “Sandy Springs bakery”!

Google My Business listings are one of the easiest ways to grow your online presence as a small business owner.

But if you want to make sure your GMB profile is optimized for success, you need to make sure it’s not lacking any important information-which means making sure you leave no stone unturned when it comes to personalizing each location!

TIP: If you’re not quite ready to start creating separate profiles for each location, at least make sure all of your profiles have complete descriptions!
